#1- It is poisonous.
Nope, Nope and Nope! Much like the way penicillin is derived from a mold, Botox® is a purified protein that is taken from the bacteria, botulinum toxin. Our nurses will inject very small amounts into specific areas and it will relax the muscles. It will gradually start working over 7-9 days and then will gradually metabolize out of your system in 3-4 months.
#2 – It is expensive.
Partially True. Think about the money you spend on potions and lotions that claim to erase lines and make you look younger. After 7 days of using those products, do the lines actually disappear? My hunch is no. With Botox®, they are gone! At Flawless we make it affordable by allowing you the option to pay monthly after your first treatment. Most people need between 25-45 units which can cost anywhere from $250-$450. If you spread that cost out over the course of 4 months, it comes out to be $2-$4 a day. That is less then the price of a latte and it works!
#3 – It will make me look plastic.
FALSE – Your results depend on two things: the quality of the product and the quality of the injector. Our patients are astounded that they look refreshed, relaxed and rested. Darlene and Pam both have a gentle touch and an artistic eye. The results are amazingly natural. It will gradually come in and gradually be metabolized over 4 months.
#4 – It will be painful.
Not so much. Our typical client will tell us that getting Botox® is a 1-2 on the pain scale of 1-10 (10 being childbirth). The needles we use at Flawless are totally different from the needles they use when they give flu shots or take blood. Our injection needles are ULTRA fine. They are so fine that they have to be replaced after 4-5 pokes because your skin will blunt them.
We hope that clarifies a few things. The holidays are just around the corner, so forget buying a new pair of shoes and splurge on some Botox®! I guarantee that Botox® will be the one accessory that will go with EVERYTHING.
