What Is Kybella®?
Kybella® is an FDA approved injectable treatment that is designed to reduce the number of fat cells under your chin and give your face and jawline a sleeker look. The active ingredient in Kybella® is a substance called deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid occurs naturally in the body and aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat.
When Kybella® is injected into the fat beneath the chin, it destroys the fat cells. Once these fat cells are destroyed, they will no longer be able to store or accumulate fat. What Is a Kybella® Treatment Like?
A Kybella® treatment takes roughly 30 minutes to perform. The first step is to cleanse the area in preparation for the treatment.
