Harmonize your body and mind with vibrations

Experience deep relaxation and stress relief as therapeutic sounds and vibrations harmonize your body and mind. Our expert practitioners create a serene environment to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit. Sound baths are immersive auditory experiences designed to promote relaxation and healing. Using a variety of instruments, such as crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes, our practitioners create sound vibrations that help reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and restore balance in the body. Our participants can lie down and allow the soothing sounds to wash over them, facilitating a meditative state and holistic well-being.

The science behind the healing power of sound baths

Sound baths utilize vibrational frequencies to influence the body's cells and brainwaves. Every particle, even the tiniest part of an atom, has a natural vibration. With our bodies being 60% water, we are the perfect conduit for these sound waves to permeate our body and alter how we feel. Moments of stress can trigger a series of chemical reactions that can result in an elevated heart rate, fast breathing, and feelings of anxiety.

The oposite occurs with soothing vibrations. The gong and singing bowls are sacred vibrations that can calm/reset your nervous system and remove blocked energy. Research shows that specific sound frequencies can induce theta brainwaves, associated with deep relaxation and meditation. The resonance of instruments like crystal bowls can promote cellular regeneration and reduce stress hormones, fostering physical and emotional healing. By aligning the body's energy fields and stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, sound baths can help you achieve optimal internal and outer wellness. We know the body regenerates when it is in a state of deep relaxation but it has become increasingly difficult to reach this state. Sound baths can help you attain this deep relaxation.

What happens during a sound bath?

During a sound bath, you lie down comfortably on a mat or cushion in a serene environment. The practitioner begins by playing instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes, producing a range of frequencies and vibrations. These sounds envelop you, helping to quiet your mind and induce a state of deep relaxation. You may feel a gentle tingling sensation or waves of calmness as the vibrations resonate through your body. The session typically lasts between 60-75 minutes, leaving you refreshed and balanced.

What should I wear to a sound bath?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to relax fully. Layers are a good idea, as the room may vary in temperature.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring your own yoga mat, a cushion to sit on, a blanket and water. Many people like to cover themselves with a blanket during the sound bath as it can make them feel safe and secure.

How long does a sound bath session last?

A typical sound bath session lasts between 60-75 minutes, although some sessions may be longer depending on the practitioner's style and the specific program.

How often should I attend sound baths?

The frequency of sessions depends on your personal needs and schedule. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others find monthly sessions sufficient for maintaining well-being.

Can sound baths help with specific health issues?

While sound baths are not a substitute for medical treatment, they can complement traditional therapies by reducing stress, improving sleep, and promoting relaxation, which may alleviate symptoms of various conditions.

What if I fall asleep during a sound bath?

It’s common to fall asleep during a sound bath due to the deeply relaxing environment. Your body will still benefit from the vibrations and frequencies even while you sleep.

I am not good at yoga, can I still participate?

Yes, in fact, the yoga poses that we incorporate are passive and meant to open up blood flow to specific areas of the body that tend to be blocked. Many of the people in our classes struggle with flexibility so we focus on lengthening muscles. We typically incorporate seated poses and focus on our lymphatic system.

Can I bring children to a Sound Bath?

The Sound Bath is open to teenagers (13 and older) but they must be able to remain quiet and still during the sound bath. Any type of movement is distracting and can bring the entire class out of their meditative state.

How much does a Sound Bath cost?

Flawless is currently piloting this series and is accepting donations. The recommended donation is $25/person and $40/couple.

When are the Sound Baths and how do I register?

Sound Baths are held at the Flawless Menual location, 3301 Menaul Blvd Suite 30. We suggest that you show up 5-10 minutes prior to class to settle into your space. We are currently looking at on-line options to reserve a spot.

When are the classes?

Classes are held on Sundays at 4:00 pm. Doors will close promptly at 4:00 so please be on time.
